What Happened in Sweet Tooth So Far?

Sweet Tooth started by showing humanity collapsing due to the H5G9 virus. We then meet Richard and Gus, who live in the woods. The former is seen taking care of the latter, who is a hybrid child, and he must be protected from the outside world. So, Pubba (Richard) always feeds into Gus’s head that he should never cross the fence. However, after Pubba’s death due to the virus, Gus spends several days in loneliness until he finds the photograph of Birdie. He starts thinking that the woman in the picture is her mother, who lives in Colorado, so he decides to go in search of her.

On the way, he gets attacked by two hunters, but fortunately, Gus gets saved by Tommy Jepperd. Gus decides to take his help to find his mother. Initially, the Big Man denies his request, but eventually, he agrees to get him onto the train that will take him to Colorado. However, before Gus can leave for Colorado, the duo gets captured by the Last Men. They get freed by the Animal army led by Bear, aka Rebecca. The latter gets attached to Gus, but she can’t trust Jepperd because he has the Last Men tattoo on his chest. However, seeing Gus’s faith in him, Bear agrees to free him, but the other members don’t agree, and this way, she gets thrown away from her own army.

Bear joins Gus and Jepperd and helps them to reach GoGro, where Birdie lived before the sick arrived. After reaching there, they are greeted by Judy, Birdie’s former colleague. Gus also comes to know that Birdie isn’t his mother, in fact, he has been created with an experiment, so he does not have parents. He gets heartbroken and goes away from there. Jepperd chases him, leaving Becky behind. When he reaches Gus, he learns that the naive deer-boy has called the people of the preserve to take him. After a few moments, Jepperd gets shot in the chest, and General Abbot kidnaps Gus.

With them, we also get to see Dr. Aditya Singh’s story who has been protecting his wife Rani, who has been infected with the virus for 10 years. However, General Abbot catches him and his wife so that he can use the couple to get a cure for the virus. On the other hand, Aimee, the preserve lady, couldn’t save the hybrid kids from getting caught by the Last Men.

In the second season, we see General Abbot blackmailing Dr. Singh to hand him the cure and prevent his wife’s death. The hybrid kids are tortured by the Last Men army but Aimee, Jepperd and Becky save them from the evil man eventually.
