How Deadpool 3 can change the MCU?

Deadpool 3, officially ‘Deadpool and Wolverine,’ launched its trailer recently and gave us a quick look into the movie. Of course, there’s a lot that MCU won’t disclose right now so we understand that you might be having many questions in your head. But don’t worry; we have some answers (a few solid ones, if not all). We can’t wait to tell you about so many things!

But first things first, there’s a big one to answer – How Deadpool 3 can change the MCU? Well, it’s a portal to a million possibilities. If you’ve read Marvel comics, your brain must be already branching out into the parallel universe.

Most anticipated ways in which Deadpool 3 can change the MCU:

1) S**t is about to hit the Fan!

Do you remember how everyone lost their minds when the MCU brought Tobey, Andrew, and Tom together in ‘No Way Home’? Well, DP3 might just be something of that sort. The film is now under the banner of the MCU and is open to going anywhere from here via the multiverse.

For all you know, this movie could simply be a movie within a movie that’s being shown to you, starring Hugh and Ryan playing superheroes. This is exactly what the Deadpool movies are known for!

2) Calling back the Fantastic 4

Marvel already has a Fantastic 4 movie lined up for 2025. Hoping to see their cameo in Deadpool, and Wolverine shouldn’t be called overexpecting. Now, Fantastic 4 is something that managed to grab our attention even before the Avengers happened. It has always held a special place in our hearts since childhood.

If Deadpool 3 somehow manages to pull off bringing back the Fantastic 4, it’s going to be a game-changer. And let’s admit, we all loved watching Chris Evans playing the Human Torch.

3) Endgame for MCU

Alright, so Marvel once released a comic called ‘Deadpool Kills the Entire Marvel Universe’. In that book, Deadpool realizes that he doesn’t want the writers to let the superheroes and villains of Marvel suffer anymore. So, he KILLS everyone! What if Deadpool’s introduction in the MCU is the first step toward a cinematic movie for it?

There’s a spine-chilling line in the comic by Deadpool. It says, ”It’s gonna take a broom and dustpan for you guys to ‘assemble’ the next time.” Goosebumps, right?

4) Double Trouble!

Imagine the same actors playing different superheroes in the same movie at the same time. Yes, that could be possible with Deadpool entering the MCU.

Remember the scene in Doctor Strange 3 where they showed Professor X? Although, it was only a subtle hint. They shot the scene from his back and only showed his ears and the edge of his unique wheelchair. But fans, being fans, always catch these hints. This means that in the future, the MCU could end up showing different versions of superheroes together. For Example, Chris Evans as The Human Torch (Fantastic 4) and Captain America (The Avengers) in the same film.

5) A new Captain America movie

The internet is full of rumors about a new Captain America movie. We can’t tell you when and how, but what it could show. In the comics, there has been a time when Wolverine and Captain America fought a war shoulder to shoulder. Now, that is something MCU fans would love to watch in the theaters. Two of the most powerful hand-to-hand combat specialists, fighting side by side in a full-blown war.

6) Iron Man’s Comeback

Ryan once said in an interview, ”Deadpool 3 is like a road trip with Wolverine”. We caught a glimpse of that in the trailer. There is so much happening in every frame that it’s hard to keep up. But there is a scene toward the end that shows Deadpool and Wolverine jumping into what looks like a ‘Portal.’ If that is, in fact, a portal, this could be the duo trying to alter the timelines and bring back some superheroes or supervillains. Just like the Avengers, who went back in time in ‘Endgame’ to resurrect some of their teammates using the infinity stones.

7) Return of the X-Men

With the movie production rights being transferred to Disney from 20th Century Fox in 2017, we can now also expect a new X-Men movie. This is because Disney holds the distribution rights for all Marvel movies.

There has been no official news regarding the re-launch of X-Men in the MCU. But then, ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ just happened. Now, this has changed a lot of things. Just because there are not enough leaks about X-Men movies, it doesn’t mean there are not going to be any. Maybe this is how it’s going to be from now. If they can bring back Wolverine for a Deadpool movie, they can for sure bring the X-Men in some way.

8) Or not?

The opposite of what we just mentioned above could hold as well. There have been some leaked images from Deadpool 3 sets that show Wolverine and Deadpool near a damaged 21st Century Fox logo. So, yes, the dup might also end up killing franchise(s) like X-Men and Fantastic 4. This would mean a near-permanent closure of these movies. Unless they’d want to go back in time or show a parallel universe where their world still exists.

9) Deadpool and Venom – Venompool!

The trailer for Venom 3 just dropped, and we can’t stop fantasizing about the idea of a Deadpool and Venom crossover. In some of the comics, Deadpool is someone who pairs with the Symbiote even before Eddie does!

So, what do we get when we combine Deadpool and Venom? The answer is Absolute CHAOS! Venom hates how Wade’s mind works, and that causes a constant to-and-fro between the two characters. Now that would be the perfect recipe for 4th wall breaking!

10) Kraven the Hunter – Beginnings

It’s surprising how only a handful of Marvel fans know about this. Everyone knows about Kraven’s desire to become the best hunter in the world by killing off all the mutants. But only a few know that this desire was triggered by Deadpool. MCU’s Kraven the Hunter, starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson, is all set to release by the end of 2024. Now, since Deadpool 3 seems to be an important movie in expanding the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We can expect to see the origin story of Kraven with Deadpool alongside him. (in multiple pieces, of course).

11) Deadpool replaces Stan Lee

Remember how Stan Lee used to do little cameos in almost every Marvel movie. Well, if Deadpool 3 has got any timeline fidgeting in there, we could have something new – A Deadpool cameo in every Marvel movie! Doesn’t that sound crazy? Imagine the extent to which Deadpool can affect the MCU if he manages to somehow time travel in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ He’d be a complete menace who’d have the capability to change any character’s story if he wanted to.

MCU has always been a nasty teaser when it comes to new projects. We know this because we have spotted not one but two mutants in Deadpool and Wolverine. The bald character who manages to put Wolverine to his knees in the trailer is Emma Corrin. She will be playing the role of Cassandra Nova, Professor X’s twin sister. Professor killed her when she was in the womb with him, and she was born still. After a few years, she managed to get a new body.

So, Professor has an evil twin, Wolverine is back with Deadpool, and they might kill multiple franchise(s). That’s a lot of things to register when talking about a single movie. But that’s how Marvel’s best films are, confusing when the trailer drops and thrilling when the movie does. We can’t wait to see where ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ is going to take the MCU (or kill it).
